The HA-NC260 noise-cancelling headphones, with new circuitry monitoring outside sounds, removes up to 90 percent of the background noise, feedback included. There is a dual housing structure for each earpiece that allows better sound insulation. Memory foam cushioned ear pads provide better isolation of background noise. The pair of headphones uses a 40mm neodymium driver for each earpiece. The HA-NC260 is selling with a 4-inch cord, a .25-inch plug adapter, an airline dual plug adapter and a slim carrying case. The noise cancellation circuitry is powered by a 1.5-volt AAA battery. The headphones will be available in March and their price will be $200.

The HA-EB75 headphones provide a securely fitting adjustable ear clip in three colour versions – black, silver and blue. Their design is addressed to active users and they are splash proof and have adjustable ear clips. The headphones have .53-inch neodymium drivers for accurate bass reproduction and also a friction-noise reduction cord. They are scheduled to ship in February and their price will be $13.

As for the high-end Black series, it adds an in-ear model headphone featuring a Micro-HD driver, which helps placing the unit in the ear canal instead of outer housing. The HA-FXC80 headphone uses a carbon diaphragm and a carbon housing, designed in a tri-form triangular housing, its colour being black. Thanks to the design, the headphone can be worn in two ways – with the cord below the ear or with the cord over the top, behind the ear. The headphone is delivered with a carrying pouch and will ship later this month, at a price of $60.

The HA-FXP3 Designed for Fashionista inner ear headphones were designed by JVC for those paying attention to fashion. The new product comes in animal print patterns that include leopard, zebra, pink zebra and Dalmatian. Specially meant to women, they have medium, small or extra small silicone earpieces. The headphones use a .33-inch neodymium driver for bass reproduction, a friction-noise reduction cord and have a gold plated plug. Shipping window is February and the price is $20.

JVC has also upgraded four of its lines of current headphones in order to reflect the fifth-generation of iPod nano colours. The HA-F240 Gumy Air, HA-F140 New Gumy and HA-FX35 Marshmallow headphones are available in nine colours matching those of the iPod player of Apple. The JVC Flats offers a range of six modified colours. All these updated series will be ready for shipping in February.

JVC – improvement of IS technology and low –light shooting http://www.htlounge.net/art/10752/jvc-%e2%80%93-improvement-of-is-technology-and-low-%e2%80%93light-shooting.html http://www.htlounge.net/art/10752/jvc-%e2%80%93-improvement-of-is-technology-and-low-%e2%80%93light-shooting.html#comments Fri, 15 Jan 2010 22:30:07 +0000 adina http://www.htlounge.net/?p=10752 The new flagship in JVC’s 2010 Everio HD camcorder line has been launched and is called the GZ-HM1. It is said to improve low light performance ant to have better image stabilization and still image quality when compared to JVC’s previous generation. The new diva camera sports a 16× zoom lens, a completely new 10.62-megapixel 1,920×1,080 CMOS sensor able to deliver true 10MP still images at up to ISO 6400. The internal flash memory has 64GB and there is an external SDHC card slot too.

Time lapse recording is 1 to 80 second intervals and high speed recording goes up to 600 frames per second allowing extreme slow-motion effects. The GZ-HM1 camera is capable of capturing simultaneous recording of 1,080-line high definition video along with 5.7-megapixel stills.

The camera can function down to four lux, which means a five lux improvement over the replaced GZ-HM400, thanks to the CMOS sensor that is back-illuminated in order to get better quality images when working at lower light levels. JVC also focused on significantly better performance in improving image stabilization by using new IS technology with two prisms capable of compensating both horizontal and vertical shake. The company claims that a user that is walking when shooting still gets a very stable image.

High-quality audio performance is provided by using K2 technology for the GZ-HM1 camera. The new JVC creation also offers face detection technology, auto flash and one-touch export provided by its bundled software. Shipping is scheduled in March and the price is likely to be $1,200.

New version of JVC’s wood grain earbuds http://www.htlounge.net/art/10555/new-version-of-jvc%e2%80%99s-wood-grain-earbuds.html http://www.htlounge.net/art/10555/new-version-of-jvc%e2%80%99s-wood-grain-earbuds.html#comments Sun, 27 Dec 2009 20:30:57 +0000 adina http://www.htlounge.net/?p=10555 JVC has recently announced an upgrade fro the FX-500 wood grain earbuds, released two years ago: the HP-FX700 set. The new version of the earbuds offer a better sound quality thanks to its hybrid dual cone, which has a 104dB at 1mW peak output. The frequency response range is estimated at being between 6Hz and 26,000Hz at 16.

New, better features seem to be credited to the drivers, which are bigger (10mm instead of 8.5mm), being able to boost the mass of the earbuds by 2 grams to 9.6. JVC has been working hard to design the canal, in order to offer an efficient sound delivery inside the birch wood case.

Three silicon eartips are included in the HP-FX700 set, for a comfortable fit and a carrying case as well. The 2.6-foot long cord included benefits from a 2.3 foot extension. Sets are expected to ship in February, in Japan, for a price of around $320. It is also possible that the FX700 sets will be shipped in North America too.

The TH-BA3 is entirely wireless between the rear speakers and the subwoofer. It has 280 watts of power across its 5.1 channels. The sound bar sports four speakers, the outboard two of them acting as the left and right channels and the two middle ones acting as the center channel. The rear speakers, including a wireless receiver, an analogue and another two optical digital audio inputs are completing the system that supports DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby ProLogic II signals. The TH-BA3 also includes a power amplifier, a transmitter for the wireless surround speakers, surround decoding and system controls.

The TH-BS7, a 4.1-channel sound bar, can be mounted on a wall and is 1.2 inches deep and 1.4 inches tall, with a particularly unintrusive design. It has a slim design thanks to the Direct Drive speakers JVC-made, four of them being placed in the sound bar. Each speaker has 20 watts of power, while the 6-inch wireless subwoofer has 100 watts. It can play DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby ProLogic II surround signals. The system offers an analogue and two optical digital inputs.

The two JVC sound bar speaker systems will be available soon. The price of the TH-BA3 system is $550, while the TH-BS7 will be priced at $600.

JVC’s Picsio GC-FM1 Camera at $200 http://www.htlounge.net/art/8670/jvc%e2%80%99s-picsio-gc-fm1-camera-at-200.html http://www.htlounge.net/art/8670/jvc%e2%80%99s-picsio-gc-fm1-camera-at-200.html#comments Fri, 16 Oct 2009 18:32:03 +0000 adina http://www.htlounge.net/?p=8670 Blue, pink and black versions of Picsio GC-FM1 pocket camcorders will soon invade the US stores at a price of $200, as JVC has recently exported a first lot of such products.

One of the few cameras of its size making you enjoy the 1080 pixels at a full 30 frames per second with image stabilization, Picsio uses SDHC cards instead of fixed storage, but keeps HDMI output for full-resolution preview, giving complete control with discrete buttons as Power, Video/Still, or Shoot, and a directional pad. Nothing confusing or complicated about just pushing the button for the function you want.

Shooting at 720 pixel and 60 frames per second or toggling to 8-megapixel still image is a piece of cake when using the Video/Still button. The Image Stabilizer automatically makes your videos smooth and steady. Movies are captured in H.264 (AVCHD) format, easy to send to iTunes, iMovie or YouTube and needing no prior transcoding.
