The Optio H90 and L10 devices will both sport a vintage look. The former will be something of the style of a rangefinder while the latter will be more like a conventional film camera. The L10 will have a 5×, 5.1-25.5mm lens and both will be regular compact cameras rather than being Micro Four Thirds or DSLR devices.

No release dates were unveiled but it is known that at least one of the models will have a special retro design. They will be relatively conventional as referring to their features although having a special look.

Launch information is still missing but rumours about a third model appearing at the same time have been heard.

Point Grey Introduces Details for its USB 3.0 Video Camera http://www.htlounge.net/art/8162/point-grey-introduces-details-for-its-usb-3-0-video-camera.html http://www.htlounge.net/art/8162/point-grey-introduces-details-for-its-usb-3-0-video-camera.html#comments Wed, 23 Sep 2009 10:32:22 +0000 aura http://www.htlounge.net/?p=8162 New details have been provided by Point Grey which regard its USB 3.0-connected HD video camera that will be featured at Intel Developers Forum. Alongside a variety of other USB 3.0 devices,it will be displayed between September 22nd and 24th.

The camera prototype integrates a 3-megapixel CMOS sensor manufactured by Sony. The sensor allows the camera to output raw, uncompressed 1080p images at 60 frames per second.
Communication with the computer is done by an USB 3.0 interface card built by Fresco Logic, while the PCI Express controller chip is built on an Intel i5-based motherboard from Asus.

The computer’s main processor can handle compression due to raw HD video streaming, instead of the camera components. The system is supossed to offer more flexibility over the different types of compression, while allowing certain processes, such as facial recognition, to work on uncompressed video for higher performance
