The FCC approved Dell’s first Android-based phone, the Mini 3iX. The device itself is not photographed but a label diagram identifies the handheld as being a phone with Bluetooth and UMTS-based 3G. The frequency range is also a confirmation of the North American 3G support. The phone will be working at faster speeds in the 850MHz band for carriers like AT&A, Rogers, Bell and Telus. Dell has initially omitted Wi-Fi from the Chinese version Mini 3i due to some legal restrictions. The phone features a 3.5-inch 640×360-pixel touchscreen and a three-megapixel camera with auto focus and flash. A microSD card slot and a virtual keyboard are other features of the Mini 3iX.

The release date is not known yet.
