A high number of iPhone users, about 91 percent, and 88 percent of iPod touch owners would gladly tell their friends to buy such devices, as January information says. At the same time, only 84 percent of Android phone users would recommend their devices, while only 69 percent of Palm Pre or Pixi owners would do the same.

No matter what their preference for a particular platform is, there is a wide variation of the desire to get a different device. Owners of Apple devices would more likely want to buy an iPhone or an iPod, while only 6 percent of Android, iPhone or iPod users would want an Amazon Kindle. Persons using Android are significantly less eager to want any Apple device, no more than 12 percent aiming to buy an iPod touch.

A split occurs when it comes to application purchasing habits, where iPod owners are the most active, with an average 12.1 applications downloaded every month, 1.6 of them being paid. Android and iPhone users come shoulder-to-shoulder with a total of 8.7 to 8.8 applications per month. The small size of Palm App Catalog affects webOS users who have an average of only 5.7 applications downloaded monthly. Owners of iPhones are more inclined to get paid applications than Android and webOS users, with an average of 1.8 applications versus 1.1 and 0.6 for the latter.

As for usage share, there is a slight drop for Apple in December, to 50 percent worldwide. The successful campaign for the Motorola Droid has boosted Android share to 21 percent and simultaneously pushed Symbian down to 19 percent. Devices like the Droid, the Cliq and Droid Eris helped a lot Android in the United States, where it has already reached 39 percent of the mobile traffic. In other countries, most share remains stable or even slightly positive for Apple, and this is happening particularly in the United Kingdom, where Apple has an impressive 79 percent usage share, while Android has only 10 percent and Symbian no more than 7 percent.

Is November 11th the Release Date of BlackBerry 9700 and Motorola CLIQ? http://www.htlounge.net/art/8002/is-november-11th-the-release-date-of-blackberry-9700-and-motorola-cliq.html http://www.htlounge.net/art/8002/is-november-11th-the-release-date-of-blackberry-9700-and-motorola-cliq.html#comments Sun, 20 Sep 2009 21:43:28 +0000 caitas http://www.htlounge.net/?p=8002 Rumors have it that the 11th of November will be the date when T-Mobile will release BlackBerry 9700 and the Motorola CLIQ. So if you are one of its million subscribers you may just be able to acquire one of these two innovative mobile phones. Speculative sources state that the release of both new BlackBerry and Motorola CLIQ products is one of the most awaited launches of handsets. This is in part due to the fact that the United States carrier launches not one, but two innovative mobile gadgets.

Even though more and more speculations arise regarding the launching date as being the 11th of November, nothing has been officially announced. Bringing pro arguments regarding this date is the fact that the new BlackBerry 9700 will be launched around the same time in November and, taking into consideration Motorola CLIQ it can be released by T-Mobile since its pre-sale in the end of October.
This speculation about T-Mobile releasing two new gadgets make me remember that recently there were some rumors related to American Telephone and
Telegraph carrier that it will introduce the BlackBerry 9700 model kind of in the same time interval as T-Mobile, while Canadian Rogers Communication corporation is one step ahead of the United States by launching the BlackBerry 9700 around the middle of October.

Promotional Video of Motorola CLIQ featuring MOTOBLUR http://www.htlounge.net/art/7984/promotional-video-of-motorola-cliq-featuring-motoblur.html http://www.htlounge.net/art/7984/promotional-video-of-motorola-cliq-featuring-motoblur.html#comments Sat, 19 Sep 2009 19:23:36 +0000 caitas http://www.htlounge.net/?p=7984 Breaking news!! Motorola has recently released a promotional video containing an ad of the company`s new smartphone, the CLIQ model which features Motorola BLUR.

The video led me to remember my fitness classes due to the energetic music it played while presenting the various things you can do with your Motorola Cliq. Moreover, I consider that the organization could have done a better job in presenting its innovative product than just featuring a woman`s fingers toggling through the Cliq. This is a job that could be done my Thing from the Adam`s family! Just “cliq” on the video below and you will see what I am talking about!

I must say that I really do not consider this video of Motorola Cliq very informative due to the fact that all the demonstrations made in it are already known. But, you have to admit that it has a funny part. However, there are two things that remained in my mind regarding this presentation:

1) The woman appearing in the video is engaged and well considering the size of the rock on her finger. And this is just a pity since she was blessed with such beautiful hands and nails.

2) The video is open-ended allowing us only to presume what the woman is going to write in the photo`s caption. So I am asking you, what do you think she would write for the photo`s description?
