LG Glimmer Touchscreen Phone At Alltel

All that glimmers. Having a tough a time deciding whether you want a touchscreen phone or a slider phone?

Alltel is covering both those bases with the announcement of the LG Glimmer, a handset that effectively combines the functionality of the LG Viewty with the LG Shine.


We first saw the LG Glimmer late last month, but now it has been confirmed that the sliding touchscreen phone is coming to the folks at Alltel Wireless. The leaked specs were pretty much spot on, meaning that you get a 2.8-inch touchscreen, 3D graphics, stereo Bluetooth, music player, 2 megapixel camera, and high-speed EVDO.

Anyone itching to get their hands on the latest hotness can walk to their local Alltel Wireless dealer and buy an LG Glimmer starting tomorrow (March 13). Price has been set at $249.99 with a two-year service agreement and mail-in rebate.
