When you're recording video in high-definition, storage capacity becomes a rather major issue.

That is, unless you've got the DZ-BD9H hybrid camcorder from Hitachi Japan. Capable of recording full HD (1920 x 1024 pixel) MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video, this Hitachi camcorder comes equipped with an integrated 60GB hard drive.

If you rip through that storage space faster than you'd like, you'll be glad to hear that the DZ-BD9H hybrid camcorder also has a slot that will accept 8cm Blu-ray/DVD discs for extra space. The embedded hard drive gives enough room for 9 hours of video, whereas a single Blu-ray disc has enough for one hour.

Rounding out the specs are a 2.7-inch screen, an improved anti-shake system, and a 5.3 megapixel CMOS sensor. Look for the Hitachi DZ-BD9H camcorder to ship on February 12th to all lands Japan. Price has been set at 180,000 Yen ($1691). The version without Blu-ray (DZ-HD90) will sell for 140,000 Yen ($1315) when it launches March 1st.
