The green-factor of the New 3110 Evolve candybar from Nokia

With so many phones on the market, manufacturers have to do everything they can to make their phone stand out from the massive crowd.


With the new 3110 Evolve candybar, Nokia is trying a different selling point - the love of Mother Earth. The 'bio-cover' is made of 50 percent renewable products, and the phone's box is 60 percent recycled. It also has a charger that is the most efficient ever offered by Nokia - a full 94 percent below Energy Star specifications. Beyond the green-factor, this phone is just another phone, though. It's really just a slightly evolved version of the regular 3110, complete with a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio and tri-band GSM. In other words, Nokia had better hope that people will buy the phone because of the attempt at world saving,, because they won't buy it because it's the most exciting phone in the world. No word yet on price or availability.
