I need not remind you that thin is in and this mantra definitely applies to portable GPS devices.

Recognizing this, V7 has ensured that their new GPS navigators -- the NAV730 and the NAV740 -- are skinny as can be. Despite being "ultra slim", these are "full-featured GPS portable navigation devices."

Both handhelds come equipped wit the company's signature software, paired up with turn-by-turn directions and text-to-speech capabilities. The cheaper NAV730 gets a QVGA 3.5-inch display, whereas the upgraded NAV740 rocks a 4.3-inch display with a 480x272 resolution. Both of these are touchscreens for ease of use. The 400MHz processor ensures "faster map redraws" as well.

Oh and if you're wondering just how skinny these things are, they measure a mere 19.8mm in thickness. The V7 NAV730 and NAV740 sell for $199 and $299, respectively.
