Cell Phone Shortage Industry Analyst

It seems that we not only own too mobile phones, we're replacing them far too often, because an industry analyst has concluded that a cell phone shortage is imminent.

This is according to a study conducted by Matthew Hoffman of Cowen Research.

Based on the current demand for mobile phones in the United States, Hoffman is saying that manufacturers will soon be feeling the crunch to be able to satisfy that huge demand with an adequate supply. The shortage may be attributed to a shortage of LCDs, apparently. At least, that's what they think.

Small manufacturers are probably the ones that will come out as the losers in this shortage, because big dogs like Nokia and Motorola have greater access to resources to overcome such issues.
