First Toyota With TRD Brand: Aurion

There are a variety of vehicles in the Toyota stable that have received the TRD treatment in the past, getting branded as a TRD "edition" of that car.
What's different with this sporty number, however, is that it is not being sold as TRD Edition, per se, but rather as part of a separate TRD brand altogether, much like AMG for Mercedes.
The TRD Aurion from Toyota Australia is one speedy demon with an incredible 323 horsepower and 296 lbs-ft of torque being developed from its supercharged engine. The greatest asset is the Eaten Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Supercharger. The gearbox is a sequential shifter and the 0-62mph time is 6.1 seconds. The downside is that the top speed is electronically limited to 155mph. I wonder how fast it can actually go...
The goal with the TRD Aurion, according to Toyota Australia, was to achieve all-around balance rather than all-out performance. That's why the combined fuel economy is a reasonable 21.5 MPG.
