Asus Made Wooden Laptop Prototype

Call me conventional, but I'm perfectly satisfied with laptops that are constructed of plastic and metal. Asus, on the other hand, isn't quite as satisfied with the status quo. Instead, the computer maker stormed their way into Taipei, marched on into Computex, and started showing everyone their wood. Look, it's all grainy and hard.


The "wooden-made prototype notebook series" does not come with any set of firm specs, because it's still a prototype. They can plunk whatever innards they want into this portable computing solution, all while resting pens, CDs, and coffee mugs on top. Even the touchpad mouse is covered in wood.

At this time, Asus has "no specific plan to commercialize it yet," according to a company rep.
