4GB Flash Memory Multi-chip Package For Mobile Phone, From Samsung

Samsung is one of those companies that works on both sides of the product: inside and outside. The mobile phone giant certainly issues more than its share of new models of phones every year. But as impressive as that is, it's close to exceeded by the company's prowess in building a strong flash memory presence as well. The latest evidence of this is the 4GB flash memory multi-chip package, another step forward in a mobile phone's ability to hold titanic amounts of information without having to resort to expandables like SD or its mini or micro cousins.


Another thing Samsung does well is name its offerings. In this case, the product is moviMCP. (That would be moviNAND for the NAND flash memory component.)

The MCPs will appear in platforms later this year.
