A lot of tasteless jokes can be made about the name of this new slider phone, because it just seems like a very poor pronunciation of the word "simple". But no, there is actually some method to this madness. LG has created the Simpure L2, and the basis for the name is that it combines "simple" with "pure." See, told you there was some method here.

Designed and made by Gwenael Nicolas, the same person behind the GBA (Game Boy Advance) design, the LG Simpure is going to work with NTT DoCoMo in Japan. Connectivity won't be an issue whatsoever for this business-oriented device, as it rocks DoCoMo's World Wing technology (GSM + GPRS + 3G). Other key features include a 2.2-inch (176x220) screen and a 1.3 megapixel camera.

Personally, I think it's a little too blocky and busy-looking to be "simple" and "pure."
