New Portable DVD Players From Philips With Docks for Video iPods

More and more electronics devices are including technology to integrate the ubiquitous iPod. Such is the case with a pair of new portable DVD players from Philips. Two of the six new models released contain docks for video iPods.

The screens range in size from 7 to 10 inches, with the 10-incher featuring a 180-degree swivel screen. A DVB-T tuner can be found on one of the 8-inch models. The other is a tablet-style machine, with a slide-in disc slot and a view stand at the back.


Those iPod-equipped models, by the way, are a 7-inch and an 8.5-inch, both of which have SD/MMC card readers built in.

All models come with a car mounting kit and two headphone jacks.

These DVD players are available now, and prices range from US$255 to US$ 393.
