Tesla Motors To Create Public Commercial Charging Station

It's one thing to have a hydrogen charger at the corner gas station. It's quite another to have a charger for electric vehicles. Yet that is apparently what Tesla is looking to create with its recently approved development fund.
The California Air Resources Board recently awarded Tesla Motors US$561,000 for a public commercial charging station. Now, Tesla makes cars that are electric, so it doesn't take too much imaging to figure out that that charging station will be a prototype and that, if successful, then the prototype will become a series of realities that enable the makers of electric vehicles to eliminate the "limited range" from their products' descriptions. If nothing else, the charging station is an alternative to plugging in to a garage wall outlet overnight.
