One Million Microsoft Zunes Sold Worldwide

Okay, so it's a little unfair that Apple got a fairly significant head start on the Zune in terms of having time in the marketplace to develop a brand presence, but there's no denying that the handheld media player from Microsoft has a very, very long way to go before it can truly compete against the glossy ubiquitous wonder known to the world as the iPod.


It's all about baby steps. First, the Microsoft Zune got introduced to the public and today, Billy Gates is celebrating the fact that one million Zunes have been sold worldwide. Microsoft has been dominating Apple in the world of PCs, but Apple is slowly but surely catching up on that front. Will the Redmond-based company make up for the difference with portable music?

Let's see here. Maybe they have a three phase plan...

2. ???
3. Profit!
