The World's Largest Hybrid-Powered Monocopter

The details are ridiculously slim, but the video is pretty suspenseful. Chuck Rudy has created what he believes to the world's largest hybrid-powered monocopter. In fact, this is only the second hybrid powered monocopter in existence, spinning its way into the sky before coming crashing down onto the Earth with a not-so-graceful thud.


I'm not exactly sure what is the advantage of having just one blade spinning around, rather than the three or four you find on a regular helicopter, but hey, maybe Chuck just wanted to be different. In any case, the video below was made by Liberty Launch Systems. Watch, be inspired, and then cringe as it smashes into the ground.
