Sony Revealed The Flexible OLED TV Screen

Some companies talk about flexible displays, but not Sony. Oh no, what they just announced is a flexible OLED TV screen. By using plastic instead of glass in the construction of the bright color screen, it allows for bending and curving without no trouble at all.


The resulting display is paper thin, and because it uses organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology, you can be sure that the color reproduction will be absolutely top notch. It's also supposed to be significantly more power efficient than its not-so-flexible counterparts.

The prototype is a 2.5-incher that weighs 1.5 grams (0.053 ounces), but Sony says that they are working on larger versions, possibly making their way into living room at some point in the future.
