No, this isn't exactly a spying device, although the viewscreen might lead you to think so. It's actually a camera with integrated spotting scope that can let you clearly see objects as far away as 1,000 yards.


The magnifications are 7x and 24x, with a 6x digital zoom as well. The resolution is a lower-range 3.1. The onboard memory is 32MB, but you can plug in SD cards up go 2GB each. You can also shoot VGA video, 30 seconds worth. The aforementioned scope is a pop-up 2-inch LCD. All images can be downloaded to a PC or laptop via USB. You can also connect the camera to a TV.

You'll appreciate the extras: a shutter release cable, rotatable tripod adapter, and protective carrying case. The price is a bit steep, though, at US$499.95.
