New TransDock Deluxe With Steering Wheel Remote

The one tremendous downside of fiddling with your MP3 player while you're driving is that the have to take your eyes off the road and focus on the viewscreen. We know it's dangerous, but we do it anyway—well, some of us do. Looking to minimize this danger a bit is DLO, with its new TransDock Deluxe.
This is an iPod dock that has as its primary new feature a steering wheel remote, so you can change the volume, skip tracks, choose a new playlist, or perform any other of a host of possible iPod functions without changing your line of vision. You'll still be looking straight ahead, although you'll be looking down a bit, at the steering wheel. This should restore your peripheral vision enough to enable you to drive safely for the 2 or 3 seconds while you're accessing the iPod controls. However, we still urge you to use extreme caution while using this or any other device. It's always safer to just drive and do these kinds of things when your vehicle isn't moving.
You'll pay a fair bit for the steering wheel remote innovation, too. Price tag is US$129.99.
