2008 Lexus IS-F, Where The F Stands For Fast

There's the Lexus IS, and then there's the Lexus IS-F. We've seen this high-performance sedan before, but now Edmunds and InsideLineVideo are gracious enough to give us a nice hands-on video. I think the F stands for Fast.
In case you didn't know, the IS-F -- which is due to hit Lexus showrooms early next year -- is considered the first "true high-performance car from Lexus", a brand that is better known for its safety and luxury than its ability to tear it up on the race track. They hope to change that with this car. You get a whopping 5.0L V8 engine, developing 400hp and doing the 0-60mph run less than 4.9 seconds. They say that this will compete directly against the upcoming BMW M3 V8.
