Casio Exilim W53CA Cell Phone With Five Megapixels

Just as Sony has taken the Cyber-shot branding to its cell phones, Casio is pushing its photographic expertise with the announcement of the Casio Exilim W53CA cell phone. And it's got five megapixels. That's a pretty impressive number, considering that most mainstream handsets sold in North America top out at two or maybe three megapixels.
Well, that's because the Casio W53CA was launched by KDDI Japan. Other specs on this Casio premium cameraphone include anti-shake technology, color correction, 9-point auto focusing, high shutter speed, and a 28mm lens. With all this photographic technology, this handset is looking less like a cell phone and more like a standalone camera. Thankfully, when you flip over the clamshell, you get a familiar RAZR-like experience on the 2.8-inch LCD. Oh, and that display rocks a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
Rounding out the features are a microSD expansion slot, MP3 player, IR Simple (faster than standard infrared), email client, and a built-in dictionary. No word on price, but look for it out KDDI Japan way in white, black, and red.
