Creative Zen Wav Comes With Built-in Stereo Speakers

The iPod nano has got itself another competitor on the horizon and this time it's coming from the crew at Creative. In some ways like the Samsung YP-K5, the Creative Zen Wav comes with built-in speakers so that you can share your tunes with those around you. Unlike the Samsung K5, however, the speakers are front and center on the Zen Wav.
Despite its strange name, the Zen Wav is perfectly capable of playing files other than those of the WAV variety. On the audio side, it'll tackle the usual MP3 and WMA fare (in addition to WAV). In terms of video, you have the opportunity to view transcoded AVI movies on the 1.5-inch 65k color TFT screen. Get ready to squint. The rest of the specs include 2GB of Flash-based memory, an FM tuner, line-in, and a voice recorder.
The Creative Zen Wav might be an Asia-only product, at least in the beginning. The ad that you see to the right is in Singapore dollars, so $179 translates to about $117 in American greenbacks.
