Ford Hosts Job Fair Dearborn Help Ex-employees Find Work

Normally, when a company hosts a job fair, it's because they're expanding and they're looking to hire some good people. Such was not the case in Dearborn where Ford held a job fair to help their ex-employees find work with other employers.

Ford has "let go" thousands of folks these past few months, and they realize the hardships that have been created as a result. While they cannot afford to hire these people back, they are at least making an effort to find these workers some replacement jobs.

The blue oval reportedly "screened potential employers in the fair to make sure they were hiring immediately and also offering jobs at pay levels close to what the ex-Ford employees were getting." The event was only open to Ford people in the morning, but was made available to the general public in the afternoon. They were expecting about 10,000 attendees.
