Sony Announces Their New PMX-M70 PMP Promoted by Spider-Man

Well, you can't blame them right? When you shove so much money into such a huge franchise, you might as well capitalize on all that marketing muscle and share the love with the rest of your portfolio. Sony has just announced their new PMX-M70 portable media player, complete with all sorts of Spider-Man 3 themed promotional material.


What you get with the Sony PMX-M70 is a 4.3-inch color widescreen display, capable of showing off MP4 and AVI video, as well as blasting out the tunes via MP3 and WMA files. Available in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB variations (much like the iPod nano, I might add), this media player also comes with an FM tuner, built-in speakers, TV-out, direct video encoding, a voice recorder, photo viewer, clock and calendar.

Measuring 16.7 x 74.4 x 12.7mm, the Sony PMX-M70 weighs in at 129 grams, boasts 20 hours of musical battery, and 5 hours of video battery life. Looks pretty promising, but now we just have to wait for an attractive price point.
