Nokia 8600 "Luna" Recently Approved FCC

We're not exactly sure how official these tidbits of information are, so we'll just take it at face value as true until they're proven otherwise. Many industry pundits have said that the Nokia 8600 "Luna" is the spiritual successor to the shiny 8800 (and all of its variants). Fuzzy spy pics have surfaced before, but this official-looking rendering looks like the real deal. And it comes with specs too.

Recently approved by the FCC, the Nokia 8600 will be powered by a Series 40 interface, a mere 2 megapixel camera, quad-band GPRS/EDGE connectivity (no 3G in sight), Bluetooth, and a 16 million color QVGA display. But like the 8800 which preceded it, you're not going to be paying the hefty premium for top-notch features. It's just about the prestige of having an expensive phone for no good reason.
