SM100 Bluetooth Headset From Sound ID to Boast Medical Technologies

Although the new SM100 Bluetooth headset from Sound ID is said to boast medical technologies, I can very easily see applications for everyday people in everyday situations. From what I can gather, Sound ID is partially marketing this product to people who have difficulty hearing, especially in loud environments. Called the Noise Navigation System, this technology "automatically determines the loudness, frequency and pitch of incoming sound and initiates counter measures -- reducing wind and background noise -- 2 common issues found with headsets."


There's also Personalized Sound, which offers "3 settings so users can cater to their hearing preferences", and the innovative EnvironmentalMode, which amplifies surrounding sound to help with in-person communications. They've combined "in-depth knowledge of how the human ear processes sound with the power of Bluetooth wireless technology."

The Sound ID SM100 Bluetooth headset is available now through Airport Wireless for an MSRP of $130.
