When it comes to titles for the Nintendo DS, some make great use of the touchscreen whereas others seem to use the touchscreen as a tacked on gimmick. It's unclear whether Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword fits into the first or second category, but considering that you get to jump around, slash with a big ass sword, and throw ninja stars, it can't be all that bad. Actually, it looks like quite a bit of fun.

With Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword for the Nintendo DS, you hold the portable gaming machine sideways like a book. The left screen is typically used for maps and such, whereas the actual gameplay takes place on the right screen. All controls are mapped to the touchscreen, so conventional gamers may take some time to familiarize themselves. Clearly, the graphics are nowhere near what is available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but Tecmo has still done a reasonable job keeping things looking pretty.
