Serious Upgrade For E Ink Products

A well-known electric ink company has given its products a serious upgrade.

E Ink says its new imaging film is 20 percent brighter and twice as fast-switching as its predecessors. The new film, Vizplex, will also be available in a wider range of formats and sizes than before.


E Ink—whose technology can be found in medical tablets, eReaders, phones, and watches—is also hard at work on TFT modules for phones, MP3 players, e-dictionaries, and other portable electronics devices. The displays will range in size from 1.9 inches to 9.7 inches.
