Honda Crunk Up The S2000 CR Roadster For The NY Auto Show

Honda is really cranking up the S2000 roadster for the New York International Auto Show. The S2000 CR Prototype is inspired by a club racer, and it makes the roadster that much more track worthy. Extra speed is the goal, and it is achieved thanks to aggressive suspension, noticeable rigidity in both the body and the chassis, less overall weight, and a rethink of the body to make it more aerodynamic. The soft top of the S2000 has been replaced by an aluminum hard top. That reduces weight and allows for the addition of extra structural support. Under the hood is a 2.2 liter, 16 valve DOHC VTEC 4 cylinder with a short throw six speed manual transmission which kicks out 237 horsepower.
