Pavilion HDX Gaming Laptop From HP

HP is aiming to appeal to the hardcore gamer market with their newest laptop, but the Pavilion HDX will not be attractive to players with back troubles - it weighs in at a whopping 12 pounds. HP needed that much room to fit in all the features. The HDX not only has a full sized keyboard complete with a separate number pad, but it also has a good sized Windows Media remote in easy access. Games will look great on a full 20 inch screen. Under the hood, the HDX sports the new Santa Rosa chipset, which is what the Centrino has grown up to become, and the GeForce Go 8000 video card to make the games look great. It has HDMI out, and HD DVD is an option.


There's no word yet when the HDX will be available or what it will cost, but you can pretty much bet that the size won't be the only thing that is gigantic with this model.
