Blackberry devices, much like Nokia cell phones, have traditionally been named using a set of four numbers. That changed with the arrival of the Pearl and now it's happening again. The Blackberry 8300 has officially been rechristened as the Blackberry Curve, lovingly rounding out their collection of handhelds with more consumer-friendly names.
Research in Motion purchased the domain Blackberry8300.com and that was where we once went for information surrounding the new business device, but they are now the proud owners of BlackberryCurve.com as well. In fact, if you hit up the former today, it'll automatically redirect you to the latter.
They say that the Blackberry Curve, like the Pearl, is designed to "meld the business and consumer worlds of the Blackberry." It's not just for the guy in the power suit.
