Yes, they've found yet another way to get you even more hooked on your Crackberry. Mexens Technology has announced that the Navizon navigation software is now available for Blackberry devices, getting business users where they need to be. Using this software, users can figure out where they are and map out directions to get to their next destination. Interestingly, Navizon also allows you to geo-locate your friends and coworkers, as well as find useful businesses in the area.
Because Navizon is not carrier-dependent, it will work on any Blackberry device. Navizon also doesn't rely on a GPS receiver to figure out where it is either. Like the VZ Navigator service from Verizon Wireless, Navizon's "Virtual GPS" bases its information on cellular radio triangulation. How this affects your airtime package remains to be seen, but hey, if you've got a Blackberry, chances are that it's on the company bill anyways.
