Rogers Communications Launches Video Cell Service

That wonderful innovation the video phone is now in mobile form. Rogers Communications, Canada's largest provider of cellular service, has announced a video cell phone service for its nearly 7 million customers. Properly enabled phones can now take advantage of this HSDPA technology, including not only one-on-one phone calls but also downloads of video clips from sites like YouTube.
If you want to take advantage of this kind of service, you'll definitely need a high-tech phone with a broadband connection. And you'll definitely appreciate that HSDPA once you get going on video downloads, which are worse than water torture on a slow connection.
Rogers becomes the first North American wireless provider to offer such a service. We don't yet know which of the large American providers will follow suit.
