General Electric Launches Into Digital Photography With 8 Cameras

General Electric is easily one of the biggest corporations this world has ever seen. That distinctive GE logo can be seen just about everywhere, and let's not forget about all their subsidiaries and sub-brands. General Electric is looking expand again, this time with a huge lineup of GE-branded digital cameras. No fewer than eight digital cameras and one photo printer were revealed at PMA 07.


The 7MP A730 and 8MP A830 are the "most affordable, entry-level GE digital cameras." Both feature 3x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch LCD, and power by two AA batteries.

Bumping up a notch to the E series, you find larger LCDs, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, and plenty of resolution. The series-topping E850 has a 28mm equivalent wide-angle lens, 5x optical zoom, and 8 megapixels. The E1030 has 3x optical zoom and 10 megapixels, for example. You can probably guess the specs on the E1040 and E1240.
