Interead announced its intention to launch the next generation of COOL-ER readers with 3G provided by AT&T in the United States next year. Full features of the product were not unveiled but it is already known that these readers will come with Wi-Fi. What is unclear is whether or not Wi-Fi and 3G will both be found in the same model. Models with 3G should be ready in mid-2010.
This another reader added to AT&T that already provides 3G in the Barnes & Noble Nook and Amazon Kindle. The QUE proReader from Plastic Logic is also expected on the AT&T 3G network next year.
COOL-ER readers will be available these days through several channels, including QVC, at a price of $250 for the 5.6-inch version depending on USB and SD cards for books.
