Harman’s JBL label, after a tease during this fall, has released its Creature III speakers. They are the successors to JBLs 2.1-channel computer speaker and have an alien-like shape but also sports a more compact subwoofer that fits better on a desktop. It also remembers volume settings by means of the touch-sensitive controls situated on one of the satellites.
The manufacturer did not specify whether the system’s power output was changed or not since the Creature II. It will initially ship Creature III in white and black models, both of them costing $130 and being available uniquely through Apple, at the retail shops and online through the Apple Store.
