The new Eee PC Seashell 1008P-KR is the first ASUS Eee PC based on the Pine Trail platform from Intel. The suffix of the new netbook comes from its designer name: Karim Rashid. The Pine Trail platform allows the usage of the 1.8GHz Atom N450 processor. The new 10.1-inch netbook’s battery is removable; it simply slides out of its side. Other specifications are almost identical to the Eee PC 1008HA: 1024×600 screen resolution, 1GB RAM and a 160GB HDD.
Some other features of the netbook include: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth support, 1.3-megapixel camera. Asus’s new netbook comes with a preinstalled OS version – Windows 7 Starter. Prices are yet to be known, but it is already known that it will ship somewhere in February. The netbook will be available in Hot Pink or Gold Brown colours.

What is the estimated price likely to be and do the come without MS installed at a lower price ? Cheers
