ASUS claims to have the ultraportable that is the fastest CULV-based, the UL30Vt. The system has, like the original version, a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and the same 13.3-inch display, but has a GeForce G 210M in addition. The one-inch thick PC can handle modern 3D and high definition video. It also includes a switching graphics system that can optionally revert the system to the poorer Intel GMA 4500 graphics when the system is powered by the battery.
The UL30Vt brings other unique features, including an aluminium shell, a 12-hour battery life, a turbo feature that can speed up the clock of the system to run 33 percent faster than it does in normal mode. As most ASUS system do, configurations can vary significantly but can have up to 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard disk drive. Pricing information is lacking but it seems the UL30Vt will cost something around $800.
