The Streak tablet of Dell will be launched in the United States with a 3G carrier plan, as the Taiwanese Commercial Times publication claims. The PC manufacturer is supposed to work in cooperation with AT&T to launch the mobile Internet device on its network sometime next year. More than that, this might not be the only model since the local manufacturer Qisda is required to make a line-up and not a single device.

Dell’s Streak is supposed to represent a tighter commitment to the Android platform and is expected to bring Android 2.0 as the operating system and a five-inch touchscreen with a higher resolution. Even if intended to be a tablet, the Streak might also serve as a smartphone and support calling on AT&T’s network rather than being just a data device.
