Samsung’s largest display, the 27-inch SyncMaster P2770HD, was recently introduced. This is a new monitor that doubles as a TV. Equipped with a built-in HDTV tuner, it can natively display 1080-pixel video. The integrated features like picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture let users watch TV while computing.

The display has a 300cd/m2 brightness ratio, a response time of 5 milliseconds and a 50,000:1 contrast ratio. Two built-in 3W speakers with Dolby Digital Plus and SRS TruSurround HD 5.1 surround sound formats support are completing the technical specifications of the SyncMaster P2770HD.

Connectivity includes a VGA input, a DVI-D input, an HDMI input, component video and audio, optical audio input, composite audio, as well as an auxiliary input. An antenna connection is provided as well.

When released, the SyncMaster P2770HD will cost the equivalent of $477 in Korea but the date of the release is not known yet. A release of the monitor in the United States is also expected to take place soon.
