Three new entry-level CDMA handsets from Nokia will reach the Chinese market soon – the Nokia 1506, Nokia 3806 and Nokia 6316.
The Nokia 6316 is the most advanced of the three and supports the 3G data network of China Telecom. It has a 2.2-inch with 320×240 resolution display, a two-megapixel camera, a built-in GPS receiver and dedicated controls situated on the top of the slider for media playback. Bluetooth 2.1 support is provided. The phone is available in stainless steel, black, red and gold. There are preloaded applications like MSN QQ, web browser, e-mail client, as well as trial applications for stock quotes and mobile navigation. The Nokia 6316 will ship in China during the first quarter of next year.
The second model, the Nokia 3806, has a simpler design and no 3G data network support. It adds a memory card slot instead, allowing up to 4GB of memory extension. As a unique feature, the integrated Health Assistant is to be mentioned, that provides assistance by giving advice on different health issues. The phone will be available in black, gold and white and will ship on the Chinese market in the first quarter of 2010.
The last model, the Nokia 1506, is intended to be the most affordable phone Nokia has ever made. Its entry-level characteristics are a voice recorder, a long battery life and a hands free speaker. The available colours will be black and plum. The phone will be available on the market before this year’s end.
