The Japanese company NTT DoCoMo revealed the upcoming release of four new series including nineteen handsets. The series are named Style, Prime, Smart and Pro.
Some models are stepping out of the range. The waterproof F-02B, considered rather of jewelry quality having a snap-on perfume holder, has been designed for users who want to stylize their mobile phones with illuminations and sparkling designs. Designed for young girls, the SH-05B, was made under supervision of top fashion models belonging to Seventeen magazine. These are only two of the ten handsets in the new Style-series.
The Prime-series includes five devices addressed to multimedia fans. The F-01B is waterproof and has a 12.2-megapixel camera. Another device, the F-04B, has also a 12.1-megapixel camera and is probably the first separable two-part body in the world. It sports a VGA camera on one half, and when the two parts are separated, they can communicate via Bluetooth connection. Storage can expand up to 16GB by using microSD cards.
Only two handsets belong to the Smart-series. The F-03B is waterproof, slim and luxurious and sports a 12.2-megapixel camera. The P-03B handset is said to have the longest battery life of NTT’s FOMA devices.
The Pro-series is including two smartphones, the SC-01B and the SH-03B. The SC-01B has a touchscreen in addition to the QWERTY keypad and is Windows Mobile 6.5-powered. The SH-03B has a 3.7-inch touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard.
Prices for these series have not been revealed yet. Shipping will begin this year by the end of November and April next year.
