Nokia to recall 14 Million Phone Chargers to avoid Incidents

Nokia announced the start of a replacement program for phone charger models made this year, between June 15th and August 9th. This is a free exchange process and the company decided to proceed with this program even if no incidents or injuries have been reported by now. For the ease of this process, Nokia has created a dedicated website for those owners of Nokia phones using chargers affected by this measure.

The chargers are replaced because, when plugged in, the plastic cover on their top could detach from the body and the internal components would be exposed. This could potentially shock people using them. The 14 million chargers were made by BYD and the company promised to cover the costs associated with this replacement.
