The Eee PC 1201N netbook from ASUS is on its way to the UK market at least this December. Some store listings show a price of $756, but prices could be lower for the North American release.
The Eee PC 1201N is a 12.1-inch NVIDIA Ion-based portable that will enable playing HD video through its HDMI video output, at full speed, on an external TV. Its faster graphics will speed up 3D as well as Aero Glass effects for Windows 7. By the way, it is one of the first appearances of Windows 7 on an Eee PC. Microsoft’s operating system will enable netbook beyond limits hardware, such as 3GB of RAM and 320GB space on the hard drive. The dual-core Atom 330 processor certainly more welcome than the Atom 270 that was previously believed to equip the netbook. A multitouch trackpad and a six-cell battery are other features of the Eee PC 1201N netbook.
