Myka has made a step forward from producing media hubs to releasing its first nettop as a fully fledged home theatre PC.
The new PC is based on a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor and has 2GB of RAM. Graphics are supported by the NVIDIA Ion platform that supply high definition video (non-Flash). Video outputs include HDMI, DVI and VGA, while audio connections are optical, analog and digital coaxial outputs. A Blu-ray drive and Wi-Fi are optional.
The Myka ION runs on Ubuntu Linux and includes media center software such as XBMC and Boxee, as well as support for standard-definition Adobe Flash and Hulu’s online streaming service.
The Myka ION starts at a price of $379 without Blu-ray drive or Wi-Fi, but having a 160GB hard drive. A model with full options is priced at $769.
