3G data offered as prepaid service

Verizon Wireless announced, on November 5, 2009, that new mobile broadband data plans will soon be launched. Users can choose from three different versions. For $15 daily, they can benefit from 75Mb of data. They can also opt for a weekly package of 250Mb of data for $30 or for a monthly one including 500Mb of data, for $50. The new mobile broadband data plans will be sold alongside a new modem, costing $130: Verizon Wireless USB760.

An internal antenna is used for Verizon’s modem and users can also use for it a microSD memory card, with up to 8GB of memory. Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Linux and Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5 are all compatible with the device. The new mobile broadband data plans, offered in prepaid versions will be available in Verizon stores beginning November 15th.
