PhonesDB has recently revealed some photos of Sony Ericsson’s new handset Kurara. The smartphone sports a 3.5-inch colour AMOLED display in an ultra-thin design, with hardware controls limited to media and call controls. It has an 8.1-megapixel camera and is using the Symbian S60 as the operating system. There is no direct USB connection. The user interface seems to be similar to that of the XPERIA X10, a phone that has recently been launched. There is an HD logo on the back cover of the handset. This could mean that the phone should be HD capable, able to capture and also playback HD videos. Although the HD logo could have another meaning, the device is expected to have high definition capabilities.
The Kurara is expected to be on retail in the first half of 2010, but no information about the price and the exact release date is available yet.
