America’s number one LCD HDTV company, VIZI O, launched two small LCDs, the 19-inch VM190XVT and the 23-inch VM230XVT with LED backlighting. They are more color-accurate due to the new illumination and are more energy efficient. As for power consumption, there is less power at peak and a dimmed display in dark environments, due to ambient light sensors. The displays are less than one inch t the thinnest point.
The 19-inch Razor can handle up to 720-pixel images at a 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, very high for this size. Its price is $350. The 23-inch Razor has the same contrast ratio and can output natively at 1,080-pixel images. Both of them have HDMI, RCA, VGA and S-Video.
The Razor sets will be available soon, although there is no exact release date provided by VIZIO.
