One of Lenovo’s first CULV systems, the new 11.6-inch U150 IdeaPad notebook has been launched in Japan, with no allusion on when it might be coming in the States. The U150 sports a 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo SU4100 ULV processor, 2GB of built-in memory and a 250GB hard disk drive. It also has a 1366×768 display, faster GMA 4500 graphics and a multitouch capable touchpad with two distinct buttons for left and right clicks, supporting multiple inputs simultaneously. There are 2 RAM slots (the computer supporting up to 8GB of RAM), and an open PCI express slot.
The U150 also sports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, a gigabit Ethernet port and Bluetooth 2.1. Other features are a 1.3-megapixel webcam, an eSATA/USB combined port, two USB-only ports, HDMI and VGA video output. The Lenovo U150 weighs is 3.3lbs and measures 0.5 to 1.35 inches thick.
It will ship with Windows 7 Home Premium, the 6-cell battery offering up to 7 hours of runtime. The U150 price is not yet available.
